DAY ONE - WELCOME TO NAIROBI!
You’ll be met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to your hotel. You’ll stay 2 nights at the famous Giraffe Manor with its resident herd of Rothschild Giraffe.
DAY TWO – NAIROBI
Relax at your hotel and enjoy the surroundings or visit the Giraffe Centre or the Karen Blixen Museum.
DAY THREE – MOUNT KENYA
This morning fly from Nairobi to Nanyuki Airport. Your driver will meet you and transfer you to the Mount Kenya Safari Club Resort, where you will stay for the next 2 nights. With magnificent views of majestic Mount Kenya, the Mount Kenya Safari Club Resort is set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens and offers a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure.
DAY FOUR - GAME DRIVE
After breakfast, enjoy a full day game drive at the Sweetwaters sanctuary. The reserve boasts a plethora of wildlife - over 400 species of birds, lion, elephant, rhino and cheetah among others. In the Reserve is a 200-acre chimpanzee sanctuary which was set up at the Reserve for rehabilitation especially of the orphaned and abused chimps. A visit to this Sanctuary is a must.
DAY FIVE - MT KENYA TO SAMBURU
After breakfast, check out and drive to the north of the country - Samburu Game Reserve. On our way we pass through the lush hill country of the Kikuyu people. This area is known for its growing of Kenyan Arabica coffee beans.
In Samburu, you will stay for 2 nights in a luxury tent at Larsen’s Camp. The camp is bordered by the Uaso Nyiro River on one side and pristine nature on the other.
DAY SIX - GAME DRIVE
This morning you’ll set out for a game drive through Samburu. The Reserve is home to large herds of elephants and elusive leopards. It is also well known for providing the opportunity to see wildlife that only lives in the dry north of Kenya. Your safari wouldn't be complete without seeing a gerenuk - an odd yet distinguished gazelle with a long neck, which stands on its hind legs to feed. Return to your accommodation for lunch and then another game drive this afternoon.
DAY SEVEN - SAMBURU to MAASAI MARA
This morning you will fly from Samburu to Maasai Mara. Here you will stay at the Karen Blixen Camp in a large luxury canvas tent with an undisturbed view along the Mara River, giving unique and private game viewing to the Oloololo Escarpment.
DAY EIGHT - GAME DRIVE
This is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa’s ultimate wildlife reserve. The landscape is made up of rolling savannahs dotted with patchy shrubs and bush thickets. During your morning and afternoon game drives, you will see elephant, giraffe, prides of lion, and thousands of impala, topi, Grant's and Thomson's gazelle.
DAY NINE - MAASAI MARA to NAIROBI
This morning you’ll fly back to Nairobi where our driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home.
Price is per person based on 2 people traveling together.
A 35% deposit is required within 7 days of confirmation. Full payment is required 45 days prior to departure.
