DAY ONE/TWO
Fly nonstop from Los Angeles to Sydney. Enjoy dinner and a movie, cross the International Date Line. Your flight left in evening, but as the sun comes up you’ve skipped a day ahead.
Stylish Sydney…a cosmopolitan international city filled with vibrant life, character and a sense of daring. You’ll stay 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment in the center of the city and close to all the action.
DAY THREE - ESCORTED CITY BICYCLE TOUR
We will take you to all of the iconic sights, and tons of other sights you may miss on your own. Our expert guides will give you the information you need to get the most out of your trip to Sydney. We'll take you to see the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour (right next to the yachts themselves), the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour, the Royal Botanic Gardens (including the Flying Foxes), Hyde Park, the Anzac War Memorial, Chinatown, Sydney Tower and much much more...
DAY FOUR - SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE
See inside the world's most recognizable sails. Experience this miracle of architecture and engineering. Our guides will take you on an emotional journey, engrossing you in a story to rival any opera plot with its dramatic twists and turns.
DAY FIVE – HOBART, TASMANIA
Fly to Hobart. At the airport you’ll pick up your rental car – a full size automatic sedan.
For the next 2 nights you’ll stay in 2 bedroom apartment on Hobart’s waterfront.
BONORONG WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
Tonight experience a a wildlife encounter found nowhere else in the world. Your own personal night tour of Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Your guide will get you up close and personal experience with Australian native animals. See natives during their natural waking hours. Hand feed some echidnas, kangaroos, tawny frogmouths and potoroos, just to name a few. Enjoy an extensive session on Tasmanian Devils. Meet and learn their names, stories and personalities as well as some of the very little known facts about them. (They’re not as aggressive as you think they are!) If you are brave enough you may hand feed them and have photos taken less than a few feet away from a devil!
DAY SIX - PORT ARTHUR CONVICT SITE AND COASTAL WILDERNESS CRUISE
Spend a day on the Tasman Peninsula - take an award-winning three hour wilderness and wildlife cruise takes you along the spectacular coastline between Eaglehawk Neck and Port Arthur. You will see Australia’s highest sea cliffs, enter deep sea caves and join in the search for abundant sea and coastal wildlife such as seals, dolphins and birds of prey. After lunch, there is a three hour visit to the Port Arthur Historic Site before your guided trip back to Hobart.
DAY SEVEN – FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK
Drive from Hobart to Freycinet National Park on Tasmania’s east coast. Spend a leisurely day hiking this beautiful park. Hike the steep but well designed ascent to the iconic view from Wineglass Bay Lookout. The turquoise water may entice you to follow the trail down to the dazzling white sands of Wineglass Bay. Continue driving a short distance to Bicheno where tonight you’ll stay in a 2 bedroom apartment.
DAY EIGHT - BRICKENDON HISTORIC FARM VILLAGE
Brickendon and the Historic Farming Village offer and opportunity to experience and enjoy early colonial Tasmania and its convict past. The buildings that make up the village were all purpose built and have been used continuously for farming activities over the past 170 years.
Tonight you’ll stay in a 2 bedroom rustic cottage, constructed with recycled timber, fully self contained with antique and contemporary furnishings.
DAY NINE – CAIRNS
Today you will fly from Launceston to Cairns, in north Queensland. Cairns is the heart of Tropical North Queensland and is the primary gateway to Northern Australia & the Great Barrier Reef. You’ll stay 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment.
DAY TEN - GREAT BARRIER REEF CRUISE
Today you’ll journey to a reef at the very edge of Australia's Continental Shelf, to an underwater world that is a dazzling kaleidoscope of color and brilliance. Agincourt Reef is a magnificent ribbon reef where you can experience firsthand the magic that is the Great Barrier Reef. You can choose to dive, snorkel, or stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a semi-sub, just one meter underwater.
DAY ELEVEN – At leisure in Cairns
DAY TWELVE – Return flights home.
