Itinerary

DAY ONE - WELCOME TO TASMANIA!
Tasmania is probably the best driving destination in Australia! On arrival in Hobart, pick up your rental car and let the adventure begin!

For your first two nights you will stay in a 2 bedroom apartment at Somerset On Salamanca. But don’t settle in too quick – tonight you have a personal night tour at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary! This is a wildlife encounter found nowhere else in the world. Your guide will get you up close and personal experience with Australian native animals. Hand feed some echidnas, kangaroos, tawny frogmouths and potoroos, just to name a few. Meet and learn about Tasmanian Devils. (They’re not as aggressive as you think they are!)

DAY TWO – TASMAN COAST ECO CRUISE & PORT ARTHUR HISTORIC SITE
Take a full day tour from Hobart and spend a day on the Tasman Peninsula including a three hour award-winning wilderness and wildlife cruise takes you along the spectacular coastline. You will see Australia’s highest sea cliffs, abundant sea and coastal wildlife such as seals, dolphins and birds of prey. This afternoon, spend 3 hours at Port Arthur Historic Site.

DAY THREE – HOBART TO BICHENO
Enjoy a scenic drive to beautiful Bicheno. Check into your 2 bedroom apartment at Diamond Island Resort.

DAY FOUR – WINEGLASS BAY CRUISE & TWILIGHT PADDLE SEA KAYAK TOUR
Experience the tranquility of Tasmania’s Freycinet Peninsula on a journey that will refresh your soul and revitalize your senses. You’ll cruise from the gentle coves of Coles Bay along the Freycinet coast to one of the world’s best beaches at Wineglass Bay.

Discover Tasmania’s greatest sea kayaking destination on this relaxed, three hour guided tour. You’ll glide beneath pink granite mountains, past pristine sandy beaches and across waters so crystal clear you feel like you can touch the marine life below. No experience necessary. 

DAY FIVE – BICHENO TO LONGFORD
Enjoy a beautiful leisurely drive to Longford.

Tonight you’ll stay in a 2 bedroom Sweetcorn Farm Cottage at Brickendon and the Historic Farming Village. You have the rare opportunity to experience and enjoy early colonial Tasmania.  The buildings that make up the village were all purpose built and have been used continuously for farming activities over the past 170 years.

DAY SIX – LONGFORD TO LAUNCESTON
Today’s drive is a short 30 minutes, followed closely by an unforgettable adventure – a 3 hour high wire canopy tour. Fly across the treetops in this award winning and unique forest experience, gaining a bird's-eye view of Tasmania's beautiful forests. This fantastic adventure lasts up to 3 hours and is unlike any other Australian nature experience. The tour combines the adrenaline rush of a high-wire canopy ride with an informative and highly entertaining outlook of the forest.

When the adrenaline has worn off, settle in for your last night in Tassie at Leisure Inn Penny Royal in Launceston.

DAY SEVEN – DEPARTURE
Say goodbye to the natural beauty, warm locals, and your new favorite place, and make your way to the airport.
