Itinerary

DAY ONE – WELCOME TO SYDNEY!
Meet & greet on Arrival in Sydney with private transfers to your hotel. The Grace Hotel Sydney - 3 nights

DAY TWO - SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE TOUR
50 years ago a young Danish architect dreaming of Bennelong Point designed a stunning performing arts centre, destined to put Sydney on the world map forever. The magic of the building, the political intrigue, the real life dramas that go on behind the curtain. These stories and more are being shared on your Guided Tour.

DAY THREE – CITY SIGHTS, BONDI BEACH & KINGS CROSS
Gain an insight into the famous city of Sydney, Manly and the popular northern beaches. Capture the beauty and lifestyle of the harbour city from specially selected vantage points. Add a relaxing harbour luncheon cruise (optional, additional cost - see Matilda Lunch cruise) and enjoy the best of Sydney in just one day. On board your cruise see the magnificent homes of Australia's wealthy as you cruise the foreshore of exclusive waterfront suburbs, and see the bustling harbour activity. Relax and enjoy Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and Harbour Bridge - all world renowned icons.

DAY FOUR – HAMILTON ISLAND

Transfer to the airport. Fly to Hamilton Island (flight not included).

REEF VIEW HOTEL -2 nights
Perfectly situated in the Great Barrier Reef, amongst the 74 Whitsunday Islands, Hamilton Island offers an experience like no other: glorious weather, azure waters, brilliant beaches, awe-inspiring coral reefs, fascinating flora and fauna, fine food and wines, and activities almost too numerous to mention.

DAY FIVE - GREAT BARRIER REEF CRUISE
Voyage to the heart of the Great Barrier Reef aboard in a comfortable air-conditioned high speed catamaran. Enjoy an adventure-packed day at Reefworld - come face to face with schools of tropical reef fish; be amazed at the spectacular coral formations; explore easy to follow snorkeling trails or simply relax on the sundeck and enjoy the amazing 360° view of the Great Barrier Reef. Your day begins cruising through the sheltered waters of the beautiful Whitsunday Islands, through the Coral Sea and on to Hardy Reef, 39 nautical miles from the Whitsunday Coast. (Includes lunch)

DAY SIX - CAIRNS

Fly to Cairns (flight not included). Coach transfer airport to hotel. The Hotel Cairns - 2 nights

DAY SEVEN - KURANDA SCENIC RAIL, SKYRAIL HARTLEY'S CROCODILE ADVENTURES
Your day beings with an historical rail journey on the Kuranda Scenic Railway. Enjoy breathtaking views, including the cane fields of Cairns to the tropical rainforest of Kuranda. On arrival in Kuranda, there is limited free time before boarding Skyrail. Relax & enjoy the world's most beautiful rainforest experience, stopping enroute to explore the two stations, including boardwalks & the interpretive centre.

After Skyrail our coach will transfer you to Hartley's Crocodile Adventures - the best place to see crocodiles in Tropical North Queensland. Take a cruise on the lagoon cruise through the wetlands - the domain of the saltwater crocodile. Explore the rest of the park with its abundance of wildlife, including water birds, turtles, wallabies and cassowaries. Lunch is included.

DAY EIGHT – ULURU / AYERS ROCK

Coach transfer to airport. Fly to Uluru/Ayers Rock (flight not included). Coach transfer to hotel. Desert Gardens Hotel - 1 night

DAY NINE – MELBOURNE

Coach transfer to airport. Fly to Melbourne (Flight not included). Coach transfer to hotel. Hotel Lindrum Melbourne - 2 nights

DAY TEN - KANGAROOS AND KOALAS IN THE WILD
This is a small group ecotour with a naturalist guide. You’ll get quality time to learn about wildlife and enjoy the wide open spaces of Australia. Get close to kangaroos, koalas and abundant birdlife – in the wild!! Our special Koala Research Project ensures that we often have multiple sightings of these delightful creatures in the wild. A delicious bush lunch is included. Spend the morning in the famous grasslands and around the billabongs of our Open-range Sanctuary in the company of hundreds of wild Kangaroos, dozens of Emus and many species of birds. In the afternoon, walk amongst the gum trees in a National Park and see wild Koalas.

DAY ELEVEN – DEPARTURE

Coach transfer hotel to airport for your flight home.
