The Lodge was originally built in the 1930’s, in an Art Deco style, to house the cream of Tasmania’s pioneering hydro electricity officers and gentlemen. Comprehensively refurbished in 2006, The Lodge retains the original 1930’s craftsmanship and now incorporates contemporary Tasmanian design and the latest in modern communication.
Deluxe guest rooms and suites have been sympathetically built within the outer building shell and now incorporate the very finest of small luxury hotel living. Luxurious guest rooms all have internet, flat screen TV, DVDs, a high fidelity connection for your iPod and original Tasmanian art. Indulgent bathrooms have the latest in spa or soaking baths and heated floors, luxury toiletries and those sensually soft cotton bathrobes. Fly fishing for wild trout in Tasmania is an experience for both the beginner and the international veteran who has fished the world over.
