Your 3 day luxury stay in Auckland begins at the city's finest hotel - the Skycity Grand. You'll stay in a Luxury City View Room. Take time out to pamper your body, mind and soul at the luxury health and beauty spa, East Day Spa, or enjoy a taste sensation at the in-house restaurant, Dine by Peter Gordon. The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Auckland City, only 5 minutes walk from Queen Street and the Viaduct Harbour.
Our exclusive arrangement gets you 2 free tickets to Main Observation Deck of Sky Tower. Plus you'll receive a space available upgrade to a Luxury Harbour View Room (subject to availability).
On your first day in Auckland, experience something usually only the domain of billionaires and elite professional sailor. Sail an America's Cup Yacht! NZL 40 and NZL 41 offer the unique opportunity for you to participate sailing on these grand prix racing machines. Become one of the crew - take the helm, exert energy on the grinders or simply sit back and enjoy the action as we sail down the Auckland Harbour.
On day two you'll experience Auckland from a Maori cultural and heritage perspective. Your Maori guide will show you why Tamaki (Auckland) was so fiercely fought over, how the tribes co-existed with the land and the impact of colonization on the indigenous people. The walk begins at Maungawhau (Mt Eden); the site of a majestic Pa (Maori strategic stronghold). You will walk past ionic Auckland landmarks, stopping along the way at places of historical significance to the Maori. After a picnic lunch the journey continues through the heart of the city, before coming to an end at the edge of the Waitemata Harbour on Auckland’s waterfront.
You'll travel by ferry to Waiheke Island - 35 square miles of sandy beaches, vineyards, native bush settings, pristine coastline, olive groves and laid-back seaside villages, are all only a 40 minutes cruise away from Downtown Auckland. There is so much to see, do and explore.
Your accommodation here is luxurious and boutique: The Boatshed. Breakfast is included here and you will receive a bottle of award winning local Waiheke Island wine on your arrival. The Boatshed is situated on a sun-drenched bay on the island of Waiheke, off the coast of Auckland. This boutique, seaside hotel is inspired by the early 1900 boatsheds that scatter the country’s shores.
Take a stroll amongst an eclectic mix of award-winning vineyards, sophisticated alfresco restaurants, artists’ studios and galleries or along one of the many deserted, golden, sandy beaches. Dining is a relaxed affair - indulge in a memorable Mediterranean feast or a private seafood platter for two on the balcony. Whichever you choose, expect fine hospitality and exceptional service.
On your last day in Auckland, relax this morning - take a stroll, do some shopping or visit one of the many art galleries on the island before taking the ferry
back to Auckland. Your car and drive wait to escort you to the airport for your onward flight.
