Your renewal begins in Auckland, where you'll enjoy the relaxed elegance of the Skycity Grand Hotel. Take advantage of the finest spa in New Zealand – the East Bay Spa. If you’re having a makeover on your vacation, your procedure will be scheduled for your second day in Auckland. And while you’re having your makeover, your traveling buddie will be enjoying a private guided tour of the City of Sails.
On day three you’ll pick up a rental car and head north to the Bay of Islands. To Hokianga and the Copthorne Hotel and Resort. The spiritual environment of the Waipoua Forest provides a natural stage for an unforgettable encounter. Our local guides will take you on a memorable journey through nature's stages of evolution, and provide a mythological and interactive interpretation of life in the forest. This is an intimate encounter to learn how this forest is inter-twined with the lives of local Maori and the important role they play in the eco-system.
Next you’ll travel to the Coromandel Penninsula, where you’ll spend 2 nights in a Bush Chalet at the Grand Mercure puka Park Resort. This part of New Zealand is a photographer's dream! You’ll sample the Coromandel Peninsula's natural heritage and scenic beauty. Enjoy the flora & fauna of the semi-tropical rainforest with giant ferns, kauri trees and crystal clear streams. Visit stunning coastal scenery with white sand beaches, magnificent cliffs decorated with ancient Pohutukawa trees, old Maori pa sites and offshore islands. You’ll visit to Hot Water Beach [tide permitting] and lunch will either be at at our favorite café or a picnic.
From here, take a short drive to Tauranga. There time here to relax visiting a winery or soaking in either hot mineral or the unique hot salt water pools. Tauranga has restaurants, cafes and shopping precincts. In the evening, a new exciting adventure: it begins relaxing on the edge of Lake McLaren sitting at a table under a marquee, enjoying sumptuous gourmet dinner, NZ wine and watching the swans and ducks float by. You'll be guided onto calm Lake McLaren at dusk in a double sea kayak. Gently paddle into the night and discover the magic of the enchanting glowworm canyon. A truly magical, unique and inspiring experience.
After Tauranga, drive back to Auckland and fly to Queenstown. Enjoy the spectacular view of the Queenstown’s stunning lake from your room at the St Moritz MGallery hotel. You’ll top off this remarkable vacation with a helicopter flight high into the mountains, where you’ll picnic on the peak of one of New Zealand’s stunning Southern Alpine ranges. Rested, rejuvenated, renewed.
