Perfect Sydney Luxury Vacation

You’ve just arrived in Sydney, so take a deep breath and savor the moment. Where do you start in this stylish city with its electric atmosphere and fun-loving attitude? You begin with the best view there is of Sydney: from your room at the Shangri-La Sydney Hotel overlooking the spectacular Opera House.

Springboard’s exclusive pre/post cruise itinerary includes a behind the scenes tour of the Sydney Opera House. This architectural masterpiece, which pushed the boundaries of creativity and science, will captivate you. Your tour of the Sydney Opera House includes breakfast in the Green Room*. After breakfast you'll be whisked across the Harbour in your own private Water Taxi to Taronga Zoo. There are excellent photo opportunities with animals such as koalas, kangaroos, echidnas and more. The Tour concludes with morning tea at Treetops Café, where you will receive an Aussie souvenir. Your return ferry trip to Circular Quay is included.

On day two, make your way to Rose Bay, where your seaplane is waiting to take you to lunch. A mere 20 minutes flying time from the hustle and bustle of Sydney is the exquisitely tranquil and award winning Cottage Point Inn. This beautiful restaurant is perched on the waters edge in the heart of the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and is renowned for offering exceptional modern Australian cuisine. Upon landing your pilot will taxi the aircraft to the restaurant’s seaplane dock, where Cottage Point Inn’s friendly staff offer a warm welcome and any number of great Australian wines! After a leisurely 3 course à la carte lunch reboard your seaplane and return to Sydney Harbour. To top off a magical afternoon we offer you an incredible photo opportunity flying a circuit of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, before landing at Rose Bay.

The next day incorporates a spectacular small group tour to the Blue Mountains.  It begins at your hotel and the historical Rocks area of old Sydney. Heading across the western plains of Sydney metropolitan we make our way to the Great Dividing Range of Australia. It is here we leave the ‘average’ Blue Mountains tourist behind and enter the National Park to unlock a piece of Australia you would never have known existed.  You’ll visit ancient Aboriginal sites and outstanding lookouts, and see unusual flora and wildlife that abound the area.  You’ll visit the quaint little village of Leura, drive around Cliff Drive to Katoomba and the Three Sisters.

You’ll enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch including a selection of fine Australian wines and cheeses under the canopy of the Australian bush.  Before returning to Sydney via the Olympic site we drop into a hidden valley where there’s an excellent chance you’ll come across many kangaroos that graze in the wild.
