Experience Broome and Australia's remote Kimberley Region

Explore one of the most remote and magnificent regions of Australia.  On our Broome and the Kimberley’s package you’ll stay at the Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa in an Ocean View room, overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Get to know Broome with an afternoon of sightseeing - we begin in Chinatown where you’ll hear fascinating stories of this colorful precinct. We call into a pearl shop and enjoy a historical sound show at the famous Sun Pictures, the world’s oldest operating open air picture garden. We’ll drive through Old Broome to view typical Broome architecture and old Pearling Masters homes. We then stop at Matsos Broome Brewery to sample their hand made ales and famous ginger beer (complimentary tasting included) or visit one of the local art and craft galleries nearby. You’ll visit Gantheaume Point known for dinosaur footprints. We then drive down onto Cable Beach for sunset (subject to beach conditions). Relax and enjoy a stroll, swim or light refreshments (included).  Conclude the tour with a camel ride at sunset.

The next morning we set off on our journey to the Kimberleys.  You’ll spend a day experiencing three of the Kimberley's well known icons, the Prison Boab Tree, Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek. We travel north to Willare Bridge, We cross the mighty Fitzroy River and make a morning tea break at one of the Kimberley's most famous landmarks the Prison Boab Tree, once used to house convicts. We also view Myalls Bore; a 360 foot long trough built in the early 1900's used to water up to 1,000 head of cattle at one time. We leave the coast and travel inland along the famous “Gibb River Road”, once used as the main stock route for the region, before turning off to the pre-historic Windjana Gorge, regarded as one of the classic features of world geology and a great freshwater crocodile spotting site.

From here we head to Tunnel Creek, an amazing 0.43 mile long flooded tube tunnel. We take an exciting walk through the tunnel wading through knee to thigh high water and hear the story of Jandamarra. Following afternoon tea, we set off back to Broome with arrival approximately 10.30 pm after an en route dinner stop (own expense).

You have a day at leisure to spend time relaxing around the pool or strolling along Cable Beach.
